Ahupua'a 'O Kahana State Park Description

One of the wettest areas of Oahu (averaging nearly 300 inches per year in parts of the valley), Ahupuaʻa O Kahana State Park is one of only a few publicly owned ahupuaʻa making it a great location to learn about native Hawaiian culture. In fact, while there’s plenty to do in this 5300 acre park, its primary function is to teach about native Hawaiian culture. Thirty one families reside in the park and help educate people about native Hawaiian culture through programs that share Hawaiian culture and values.
