Muskegon State Park is located along two miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and one mile of Muskegon Lake shoreline. A luge run is available at the Winter Sports Complex.

The park is located four miles west of North Muskegon. Take US- 31 to the M-120 exit in North Muskegon and follow the signs to the park.

Muskegon State Park is home three miles of breathtaking shoreline (two miles along Lake Michigan and one mile on Muskegon Lake), Snug Harbor, forested dunes, two campgrounds, picnic areas, multiple trails and an overlook.

In addition, winter recreation options are available at the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex, including an Olympian-designed luge track, an ice skating trail, a sledding hill, cross-country ski trails and much more. A ticket is required.

No alcoholic beverages allowed in day-use areas April 15 to Labor Day. No alcoholic beverages allowed in Channel or Lake Michigan campgrounds April 15 to June 15.

Muskegon's track chair program helps visitors explore areas of the park where traditional wheelchairs might not. These off-road, electronic chairs can easily handle trails, snow, sand and up to 8 inches of water. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis at no cost. The track chairs were generously donated by Kali’s Cure for Paralysis Foundation. Thank you!
