Logan State Park is located in northwest Montana. With frontage on the north shore of Middle Thompson Lake, Logan is heavily forested with western larch, Douglas-fir, and ponderosa pine. A channel includes the Upper lake, and it connects Middle and Lower Thompson lakes. This state park is situated in the middle of the 3,000-acre Thompson Chain of Lakes State Park.

Attractions include swimming, boating, camping, horseshoe pit, water skiing, and good fishing. 

This state park has an elevation of 3,333 feet, the park covers 17 acres.

There are 37 total campsites, and no tent-only sites. The RV/trailer size limit is 40 feet in length. The RV dump station closes at the beginning of October. This is a heavily forested, scenic area.

Season of operation depends upon weather conditions and access.

Logan State Park

There are 7.5 miles of trails available for hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and horseback riding. In the wintertime, snowshoe rentals are available for $5 per person or $10 per family. Park visitors will be sure to find a great hike to revitalize their soul and a peaceful spot to relax and view area wildflowers, wildlife and breath-taking overlooks of the Flathead Valley.   

A newly remodeled visitor center with gift shop is a highlight and is now open year 'round. A walk through the visitor center provides a tour of the wildlife and forest ecology within the park. The visitor center contains a spacious meeting room with audio visual equipment and wrap around decks with beautiful vistas. It's an ideal spot for a meeting or social gathering.

Regular adult workshops, children's activities and interpretive programs make Lone Pine an exciting stop for school field trips, residents and out-of-state visitors. Find out more about educational opportunities by contacting the park office.
The site covers 270 acres and ranges between 2,959 feet and 3,644 feet in elevation.
