The Vietnam Veterans Memorial State Park (Park) is on 30.31 acres in the Moreno Valley of Northern New Mexico near Angel Fire. The memorial was established by the Westphall family in 1968 and became a state park in 2005. The non-profit David Westphall Veterans Foundation (Foundation) supports management of the Park and has an office at the visitor center. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial was created by the family of Victor (David) Westphall. David and 15 other Marines were killed in an ambush in Con Thien, Vietnam.
