Sequoyah State Park is a haven for water lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. With over 19,000 surface acres of water and 225 miles of shoreline on Fort Gibson Lake, the park attracts boaters and beach-goers alike. Visitors enjoy hiking, picnicking, guided horseback trail rides, wildlife watching, nature center activities, golf, fishing and camping.

The Lodge at Sequoyah State Park is Oklahoma's largest set of state park lodges, with 104 rooms and 45 cottages. The in-house restaurant and a variety of meeting rooms are popular for group functions and conferences. Wi-Fi is offered in the lodge lobby, media room, meeting spaces and restaurant. Other lodging amenities at The Lodge at Sequoyah State Park include a bunkhouse with a great room and kitchen facilities. Pets are allowed in select cottages for a small fee. No pets are allowed in the lodge.

Cool off in the summertime at the zero-entry swimming pool and children's splash pad in the lodge courtyard or find your place in the sun at a lakeside swim beach. Bring your family boat or book a pontoon boat cruise from Paradise Cove Marina. A recreation room, horseshoe pits, tennis court, basketball court and playgrounds complete your family fun time when visiting the park. 

Camping facilities at Sequoyah State Park include RV and tent camping options. The Creek, Choctaw, and Paradise Cove areas offer tent camping. RV camping includes full hook-ups at the Choctaw and Seminole camgrounds with water and electric service only at Cherokee. All reservations must be made online with a 5pm check in and 2pm check out. Additional facilities include lighted boat ramps and picnic pavilions. The Sequoyah Group Camp has a dining hall with full kitchen and 10 A-frame cabins which can sleep a total of 98 people.

For more adventure, visit Sequoyah Riding Stables for trail rides or hayrides on wooded and open trails inside the park. Bring your group to Cowboy Camp at the stables. 

The Three Forks Nature Center offers interpretive displays on native flora and fauna. At the Nature Center, guests young and old can experience native wildlife through the ambassador animal program. Learn more about the ecoregion’s distinct features with nature center staff.

The Sequoyah State Park Golf Course is a nine-hole course with Ultradwarf Bermuda grass greens, tees and fairways, well-placed sand bunkers and lake views. Facilities include a driving range, pro shop with cart, club rental, snacks, drinks and a gift shop. Book a tee time online with the booking link provided. Sequoyah State Park & Lodge

On the shores of Lake Fort Gibson, Sequoyah State Park Golf Course near Wagoner is hidden away in the foothills of the majestic pecan trees surrounding the course. The revamped 9-hole course is short, but very tight; and the 3,040-yard par-35 course is deceiving. There are fairways that dogleg, have water and uneven terrain lined by mature oak and pine trees. The elevated tees and greens make the yardage play much longer than they are. The key to this course is use more club.

Recreation, dining and lodging are available at the nearby Lodge at Sequoyah State Park. RV and tent camping is available at Sequoyah State Park. A nature center, mountain bike and hiking trails, riding stables, marina and other water-related activities are available for non-golfers.

Sequoyah State Park Golf Course

Located in Sequoyah State Park along the shores of Fort Gibson Lake, The Lodge at Sequoyah State Park is the largest state park lodging facility with 104 renovated guest rooms and 45 cottages. Formerly known as Western Hills Guest Ranch, the lodge is the ideal retreat for a relaxing getaway. Other lodging amenities at The Lodge at Sequoyah State Park include a bunkhouse with a great room and kitchen facilities. The Lodge at Sequoyah State Park

Sequoyah Bay State Park is a paradise for water sports and camping along the 225-mile shoreline of Fort Gibson Lake near Wagoner. Enjoy a variety of water sports on the lake's 19,100 surface acres as you create memories for a lifetime with a stay at Sequoyah Bay State Park. Camping opportunities abound with RV sites with water and 30-amp or 50-amp electric hookups and two dump stations. Tent sites are located throughout the park. All RV and tent campsites must be reserved online.

The full-service Cypress Cove Marina offers gas, food, ice, bait, tackle, boat rentals, slips, fishing dock and cabin rentals.

***NOTICE*** Winterization Update - Hulbutta-Micco Comfort Station will remain open. Attakullakulla and Pushmataha Campground along with the Group Camp will close from 11/1/20 - 3/1/21. 

Sequoyah Bay State Park

Tucked away in the hills of eastern Oklahoma, Greenleaf State Park offers spectacular scenery and is a family-friendly state park. The park includes Greenleaf Lake as well as cabins, campgrounds, family recreation facilities and nature hiking trails. The lake cabins and other facilities at Greenleaf State Park were built in the 1930s by the Works Progress Administration (WPA). The original buildings, constructed of native stone, remain a lasting and beautiful tribute to those who built them.

The park has 16 cabins with bathrooms, kitchens with full-size appliances, heat and air. Dishes, cooking utensils, linens and towels are also provided. There are fireplaces in 10 of the cabins. All cabins have satellite television. The cabins are approximately 350 square feet in size. The park also has the "Cabin on the Lake," designed to meet the challenges of the physically disabled. Pets are allowed in all cabins for a small nightly fee. Firewood is available for purchase and firewood is not provided to cabins. A total of 14 cabins will sleep up to four guests, one cabin will sleep two guests and one cabin will sleep up to eight guests between two bedrooms.

In addition, the park features RV campsites, some with 50 amp electric and full hookups, as well as tent campsites. All RV and tent campsites must be reserved online. Additional amenities include a community building, pavilion, enclosed shelter, outdoor shelter, seasonal marina with grill and heated fishing dock. Be sure to visit the office and pick up a wrist band for the splash pad and 18-hole miniature golf course before enjoying the swim area, amphitheater, discovery center, playgrounds, hiking trails, volleyball courts and basketball courts. 

Motorized personal watercraft is not allowed on Greenleaf Lake. The kids' pond allows children 16 and under to fish at no charge with no permit required. Located in Braggs, the park also offers activities such as wildlife viewing and holiday events.

***NOTICE*** Winterization update. Cypress Row and Gobbler Ridge RV Campgrounds will be closed and winterized from 11/1/20 - 3/1/21. Multi-use meeting facility will remain closed for renovation. Deer Run RV and Lakeview Campgrounds will be open year round.  

Greenleaf State Park

Located in the Cookson Hills, just south of Tahlequah on Lake Tenkiller, Cherokee Landing State Park features RV sites with electric and water hookups, a dump station, primitive tent campsites, covered picnic shelters and restrooms with hot showers. RV sites can accommodate rigs up to 40-feet in length. All RV and tent site reservations must be made online.

Lake Tenkiller, which boasts 13,000 acres of water and over 130 miles of shoreline, is known as a wonderful place for boating, watersports and fishing. Fishermen staying at Cherokee Landing State Park in Park Hill can catch a variety of crappie, large and smallmouth bass, catfish and white bass. The park also offers a lighted boat ramp and handicap-accessible fishing dock.

Cherokee Landing State Park offers entertainment for a day or a week with a swimming beach, children's playground and softball field. With the park's central location between Oklahoma City (148 miles), Little Rock (163 miles) and Wichita (190 miles), Cherokee Landing State Park is the perfect destination for getting away without going too far. At only 80 miles outside of Tulsa, the park would be a great weekend getaway for city dwellers needing a reprieve.

Pack a picnic lunch and head out to the park's sandy swimming beach or rest under one of the many shaded picnic tables scattered throughout the park. Or, bring out the whole family for an old fashioned game of softball. Be sure to put Cherokee Landing State Park in Park Hill on your list when visiting Lake Tenkiller.

Cherokee Landing State Park

Tenkiller State Park is known as Oklahoma's “heaven in the hills.” The sparkling blue waters of Lake Tenkiller offer water enthusiasts an abundance of recreational opportunities between 130 miles of shoreline and 13,000 surface acres. The park’s plentiful amenities make it a favorite destination for all ages.

Tenkiller State Park in Vian is a haven for all water sports including water skiing, fishing, boating, tubing and scuba diving. Outdoor facilities include a volleyball court, basketball court, two playground areas, four group picnic pavilions and 172 picnic tables. The outdoor swimming pool is available to all guests for a small fee, and includes a water slide, handicap-accessible restrooms and lounge chairs. Additional amenities include a community building, kids' fishing pond, three hiking trails and the Driftwood Nature Center.

Lake Tenkiller is considered one of the best places in the state to go scuba diving, as its waters are clear from eight to 28 feet.  Tenkiller Scuba Park is a diver's dream, with a sunken airplane fuselage, school bus, helicopter and two boats to explore underwater.  In some areas of the lake, divers can see the remains of homesteads and artifacts left behind from before the lake was formed.  The Tenkiller dive area, Fisherman's Point, requires an entry fee of $5 per vehicle. This area also provides access to a swim beach, boat ramp and lakeside tent camping. The lake's underwater terrain ranges from mildly sloping hills to rock cliffs, and the water goes up to 165 feet deep in places.  With an Oklahoma fishing license, divers can try their luck at spear fishing for non-game fish. Two diving pro shops, Gene's Aqua Pro and Nautical Adventures, are located on the lake and offer training, certification and equipment rental.

Tenkiller State Park offers RV and tent sites scattered between 10 campgrounds. Online reservations must be made for the RV and tent campsites. Primitive campgrounds include Bluff View, Cedar Ridge, Eagle Point, Fisherman’s Point, Goose Neck Bend North and South and Hickory Flats. RV campgrounds with 30-amp electric and water hookups include Blue Jay Knob and Flying Squirrel. The Shady Grove and Fox Squirrel campgrounds both offer full hookups, with 50-amp electric service. A total of seven comfort stations with restrooms and showers are available in the park, and there are two on-site waste dump stations.

In addition to the tent and RV campgrounds, Tenkiller State Park guests may choose from 38 cabins, ranging from one to three-bedroom styles.  All the cabins, except for the three-bedroom models, are duplexes. Cabins are equipped for the maximum number of guests with dishes, linens, full kitchens, heat, air conditioning and satellite television. In addition, some cabins are pet friendly. There are a total of 22 one-bedroom cabins, 14 two-bedroom cabins and two three-bedroom cabin. Tenkiller State Park also offers two courtyard cottages, which are motel-style with interconnecting rooms and a shared porch.  Each room features heat and air, a refrigerator, linens and bedding for four. 

Tenkiller State Park features two multi-use trails and one nature trail. The Tenkiller Multi-Use Trail is a handicap accessible paved trail 1.5 miles in length. Children 16 and under may catch their limit of three fish per day with no charge or permit required in the kids' fishing pond at Tenkiller State Park.  Also located on-site, the Pine Cove Marina offers fuel, snacks and boat rentals, as well as the floating Clearwater Café.
