Niagara Falls State Park

DeVeaux Woods State Park has two ball diamonds, a playground, picnic facilities, nature trails through a meadow and Old Growth Woods, and a path that leads across the Niagara Scenic Parkway to Whirlpool State Park with access to the Niagara gorge trail system. 

Pavilion Information
De Veaux Woods has one pavilion available for rental. The day use price is $50 and can accommodate up to 50 people. For more specific details and information on how to reserve a pavilion at De Veaux Woods State Park visit ReserveAmerica.com.

Pet Policy: A maximum of two pets are allowed in day use areas unless prohibited by sign or directive. Pets are to be supervised at all times and either be crated or on a leash not more than 6-feet in length. Proof of rabies inoculation shall be produced if requested by staff. Pets are not permitted in playgrounds, buildings, golf courses, boardwalks, pools and spray-grounds or guarded beaches (this does not apply to service animals).

De Veaux Woods State Park

Whirlpool State Park has two levels -- the street level has many scenic overlooks with spectacular views of the Whirlpool and rapids. There are picnic facilities and a playground, as well as the gorge natural history room at the restroom building; both are open seasonally. The river level offers hiking and fishing by taking the staircase located just downstream from the main park area. At the base of the gorge, you can hike upstream along the Whirlpool Rapids Trail past the Whirlpool to a point along the Whirlpool Rapids. You can return to this staircase to exit the gorge, or take the Devil's Hole Trail downstream to the Devil's Hole staircase to the top of the gorge at Devil's Hole State Park. From there, you can take the rim trail back to Whirlpool State Park.

Whirlpool State Park

Devil's Hole State Park overlooks the Devil's Hole Rapids. The park has picnic areas, scenic overlooks and hiking trails, and is one of the more popular spots for fishing. A stone staircase leads down to the base of the gorge and the Devil's Hole Trail, which offers spectacular views of the rapids and gorge rock layers.

Devil's Hole State Park

Reservoir State Park, Town of Niagara Route 31, is a favorite of local residents in Niagara County. The park has two tennis courts, seven softball diamonds, four basketball courts, a roller hockey court and picnic facilities. It is also home to the largest softball complex in Niagara County. Other users include soccer players, runners, kite fliers, model airplane clubs and golfers. Winter visitors come to sled and cross-country ski. Part of the park is an overlook for the Robert Moses Power Plant Reservoir. Excellent fishing available in the Reservoir.



Reservoir State Park

Buckhorn Island State Park nature preserve, 895 acres of marsh, meadows and woods and the last vestige of once vast marshlands and meadows that bordered the Niagara River, is classified as a park preserve. The public is welcome to walk the nature trails, hike, bike, kayak, canoe, fish and cross-country ski in the park. Ongoing restoration continues to re-establish wetland cover and water levels and increase the diversity of native flora and fauna. The ongoing restoration plan includes increasing public access with more non-intrusive trails, overlooks and bird watching blinds.

Reminder: There are no restroom facilities available at Buckhorn Island State Park.

Buckhorn Island State Park

Big Six Mile Creek State Park Marina is located in a protected inlet off of the upper Niagara River. This marina provides a boat launch for boating and world class fishing access, 134 seasonal boat slips, gasoline and oil sales, ice and pump out service. Seasonal slip vacancies are filled by a lottery every year.
