Mount Kineo State Park Description

Mount Kineo (elevation 1,789 feet) dominates Moosehead Lake. The cliff face rises dramatically 700 feet above the lake surface and provides critical habitat for rare plants and peregrine falcons. There is no road access to Mt. Kineo. Visitors can reach the park by boat from the public access site in Rockwood. Commercial shuttle service is available during the summer months. Open all year; 9:00 a.m. to sunset daily unless otherwise posted at the gate. Fee Charged.
