Located in southeast Oklahoma, McGee Creek State Park occupies the southwest edge of the Ouachita Mountain Range. McGee Creek State Park offers recreational opportunities including water activities, camping, hiking and fishing, as well as hunting in the adjacent McGee Creek Wildlife Management Area. This 2,600-acre park is the perfect place to stay while fishing in one of Oklahoma's finest trophy lakes, the 3,350-acre McGee Creek Reservoir. Fishermen will find an abundance of large and smallmouth bass, channel catfish, perch, crappie and sunfish.

Visitors to McGee Creek State Park will enjoy an abundance of water recreation along 64 miles of shoreline. The lower part of the reservoir was cleared for the use of water skiers, boaters and fishermen. Virtually all land surrounding the McGee Creek Reservoir is covered with dense forest and provides scenic enjoyment and excellent hunting opportunities. In the adjacent McGee Creek Wildlife Management Area, hunters will enjoy over 10,000-acres stocked with crow, deer, dove, quail, rabbit, squirrel, turkey, waterfowl and more.

Camping at McGee Creek State Park is available year round. Camping reservations must be made online. The Buster Hight Area features paved camping sites with water and electric service, a four-lane boat ramp, courtesy dock, comfort stations with showers, a dump station, fishing pier, playground and swim beach. The Potapo Area consists of a two-lane boat ramp, paved RV sites with water and electric service, a comfort station with showers and more. There are also primitive camping sites located throughout the two areas. An additional boat ramp is located in the Grassy Hollow Area on the upper part of the lake.

The park also boasts eight lake huts located near the Potapo Campground. These rustic huts are 12-ft x 24-ft and include a back porch overlooking the lake, bunk beds, a fireplace and air conditioning. Linens are not provided. Water service and barbecue grills are available outside each hut. Restrooms with showers are located within walking distance. Lake huts are available for reservation through the park office. Pets are allowed to stay in the huts for a small fee.

Bring your horse and enjoy equestrian and hiking trails ranging from 1-20 miles in length. This park also features 15 picnic sites. Come to McGee Creek State Park and enjoy a pristine wilderness getaway with some of the best hiking areas of the state. The park also features a gift shop at the office with a small store nearby where guests can purchase firewood and other items.

McGee Creek State Park

Located in scenic southeastern Oklahoma, this long established recreation destination offers family fun, boating, abundant fishing opportunities and spectacular sunsets.  Enjoy a golden sunrise view upon the deck of a luxurious cabin, a quiet sunset over the water, and a night sky dancing with infinite starts.  Hugo Lake State Park offers serenity that can only be described as pure enchantment.

Little Dixie has been operating Hugo Lake State Park, a 289 acre section located in scenic southeastern Oklahoma, 4 miles east of Hugo off Highway 70 since 2002. Once considered the best kept secret in Oklahoma State Parks, Hugo Lake State Park is now host to over 100,000 visitors every year. The Park features several amenities including 16 Resort Cabins that offer two-bedrooms, a full bathroom, spacious living area with a fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen.  Each cabin has its own deck to enjoy. Ten Primitive Cabins are available year round. Also within the Park is a Luxury Hospitality and Training Center featuring 4 bedrooms, a meeting room, several bathroom facilities a large kitchen and very spacious deck providing the best view of scenic Hugo Lake. The Hospitality and Training center is often booked for weddings and family gatherings and also serves as the site for the Annual Lt. Governor’s Turkey Hunt. Campsites are also located within the park for those that enjoy tent camping.

Hugo Lake Marina is the only marina on the 13,250 acre lake and it offers 56 boat slips which may be rented by the month or annually. The Ships store serves as the Visitors Center and Cabin Check-in station. Park employees are eager to inform visitors about the amenities within the park or visitors can obtain brochures with lots of helpful information. The store stocks snacks, ice, and limited fishing and camping supplies. Fishing license can be purchased at the Marina. Other amenities within the Park include fishing, boating, several nature trails and a paved handicap accessible trail complete with its own trailside pavilion and fishing dock.

The primitive cabins offer a choice of two twin beds or one queen bed, though linens are not supplied. Seven of the 10 cabins come with a full bath located inside the cabin, and there is a comfort station located within walking distance from the cabins that offers hot showers and restroom facilities. Each primitive cabin comes with heating and air conditioning, as well as a screened in back porch to enjoy the surroundings. Pets are allowed in all cabins at the park for an additional fee.

For those who enjoy open air, bring a tent to one of the 10 campsites scattered throughout the park. Each site offers a grill and picnic table. Enjoy swimming or fishing just outside your door with coves located on two sides of the campsite. Wake up early and you might even catch a glimpse of the park’s wildlife including squirrels, deer, raccoons and geese.

Hiking Trails in Hugo Lake State Park are an adventure just waiting and offer some great views of the lake.  As you walk through out the winding trails you will encounter all species of wildlife.  Special interest markers identify various tree types as well as animal information.  You will even find a primitive bench to rest along the path.

For larger parties or special events, Hugo Lake State Park rents out the Hospitality House, a four bedroom, three full bathroom, two partial bathroom house. The fully-furnished house also contains a sitting room, large kitchen, dining area and meeting room. An expansive deck running along the back of the house provides unparalleled views of Hugo Lake.

Hugo Lake State Park

Clayton Lake State Park, located in southeastern Oklahoma's Kiamichi Mountains, features 500 acres of lodging, fishing, boating, hiking and more. Wind your way through the hardwood forest's beautiful scenery and find what adventure and activities await you in this state park.

Lodging at the park, located just five miles south of Clayton, includes 30 reservable RV sites, 60 first come, first serve tent sites spread out between three camping areas, primitive cabins and two-bedroom cabins to fit your family's needs. Bring your dog along to stay in a spacious two-bedroom cabin that requires no additional pet fee. Clayton Lake State Park also offers five picnic pavilions, two boat ramps and four comfort stations with hot showers.

If you're looking for a restful getaway, look no further. The 80-acre lake is open to fishermen and boaters, but no watersports are allowed. In addition to a lighted boat and ADA accessible fishing dock, the park also has a swimming beach and playground. 

Take a stroll along the water's edge, wade through the rushing waterfalls, or bring a kayak to cross the lake's still water. With a wide variety of trees lining the water's edge, the beautiful foliage offers outdoor enthusiasts the chance to reconnect with nature along the park's hiking trails.

Nearby, guests can visit the Ouachita National Forest, Sardis Lake or the Choctaw National Capital Museum.

Clayton Lake State Park

Raymond Gary State Park is located in southeast Oklahoma on the shores of Lake Raymond Gary. The lake offers fishing, boating and swimming. Camping and picnic facilities are available and include 10 RV sites with full hookups, nine sites with water and electric hookups and approximately 100 tent sites. Raymond Gary State Park also offers group pavilions, comfort stations with showers, a playground, swim beach and cabin rentals.

Six primitive, lakefront cabins are available, with each cabin containing two twin beds, a bathroom, table, heat and air, mini-refrigerator, microwave and a fireplace. Linens, towels and toiletries are not provided. Unlighted boat ramps provide access to the lake and an ADA accessible fishing dock is also on-site. Paddleboats, canoes and fishing boats are available to rent.

Raymond Gary State Park

Lake Texoma is Oklahoma's second-largest lake and one of the premier striped bass hot spots in the southwest. Besides fishing and a myriad of watersports, Lake Texoma State Park offers swimming, camping, picnic areas, wildlife viewing opportunities and hiking. The park also features comfort stations with showers, boat ramps and a small hiking trail. The privately operated Catfish Bay Marina located within the park offers a full-service marina with a fuel dock and striper guide fishing services. A marina mart featuring a convenience store and gas station is also available on-site.

Lake Texoma State Park's overnight facilities include RV and tent campgrounds. Reservations for all campsites, both RV and tent,  must be made online prior to occupying any site. RV sites have full hook-ups with water, sewer and electric and some with water and electric. Tent sites are available as well. The on-site Rally Campground offers an open grass area with 16 electric clusters accommodating up to four units each with 30 amp electric and water service.

Lake Texoma State Park is proud to be the home of the Texoma Striper Guide Association at Catfish Bay Marina. Members include; James Allen from Blue Water Striper Guide Service, Gary Scarberry from Scarberry's Striper Guide Service, Roger Raines, Shawn Morales, Phil Townsend, Brad Loper, Travis Hardin and Cole Cook. The park highly recommends these fishing guides, as they all have years of experience helping visitors catch fish. These guide services are available year-round. 

Parking fees are required in many areas of the state park, including boat ramps, swimming areas, group shelters and other day use areas. ***NOTICE*** Winterization Closures - Campgrounds and boat ramps remain open for winter camping with the following closures from 11/1/20 - 3/15/21, comfort station #3 near the Marina and Catfish Bay, comfort station #6 at the entrance to the 400 Area/Rally Campground and comfort station #8 in the 500 Area. Floyd's/Ben's semi-modern campgrounds will close from 12/1/20 - 3/1/21. 

Lake Texoma State Park

In the scenic, hilly woodlands of the Sans Bois Mountains of southeast Oklahoma, Robbers Cave State Park is a favorite of rappellers, equestrians, hikers and outdoor lovers. It is named for the famous outlaw cave hidden in the formation of 300 to 1,50-ft sandstone hills and cliffs. The park and adjoining wildlife management area offer acres of discovery and enjoyment including seasonal trout fishing and hunting, miles of hiking and equestrian trails, rugged cliffs for climbing and stunning fall foliage viewing.

Once a former hideout for outlaws Jesse James and Belle Starr, Robbers Cave State Park is an 8,246-acre park with 189 combined lake acres with Lake Carlton, Lake Wayne Wallace and Coon Creek. All lakes in the park are day-use only, with a trolling speed of 6 mph maximum. 

Campground facilities at Robbers Cave State Park include RV sites with full hookups; RV sites with water and electric hookups, and primitive camping areas along secluded trails. Equestrian campsites are also available. Online reservations must be made for all tent and RV sites.

Other overnight accommodations include a lodge, cabins, a lake hut, yurts and two group camp facilities. Each of the 20 rooms at the Belle Starr View Lodge commands an impressive view of Coon Creek Lake and the forested valley below. All rooms are non-smoking and feature two double beds, a coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge and satellite television. Rooms at the lodge can accommodate up to four guests. Pets are not permitted in lodge rooms.

A total of 26 non-smoking cabins are available with scenic views of Robbers Cave State Park. Each cabin comes fully equipped with cookware in the kitchen, central heat and air, fireplace, shower and satellite television. Pet-friendly cabins are available with a daily pet fee and must be requested at reservation.

Choose from one-bedroom duplex cabins that sleep four guests, one-bedroom cabins that also sleep four guests, two-bedroom cabins that sleep six guests and two-bedroom cabins with decks that sleep up to six guests. If you're looking for something romantic, "honeymoon" cabins are also available. Near the main park entrance, the lake hut comes equipped with a queen-sized bed and a sleeper sofa. It also has a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a table with four chairs. There is no television or shower facility, but the lake hut does have a toilet and sink. It is pet-friendly.

Yurt guests enjoy a queen bed and sofa sleeper within the circular structure. Amenities include a mini-fridge, microwave, heat and air window unit, ceiling fan and a deck overlooking Lake Carlton. One yurt is handicap accessible, and the nearest restroom/shower is a couple of hundred yards away.

With accommodations for up to 274 people, Group Camp 1 features 12 cabins, while Group Camp 2 features seven bunkhouses that can accommodate 250 people. Group Camp 1 is open seasonally from March through November and Group Camp 2 is open year-round.

Bring your own ATV or side-by-side and explore Robbers Cave State Park’s 250-acre ATV riding area, which is open from 8am until sunset each day. The park also has an amphitheater, five group picnic shelters and two indoor community rooms. With picnic tables, comfort stations with showers, boat ramps, a swimming beach, a seasonal swimming pool with bathhouse, playgrounds, it's easy to have a good time at the park.  From miniature golf, paddleboat rentals and golf cart rentals, to a small grocery store and a nature center with naturalist programs and exhibits, the park has something for everyone.

Robbers Cave State Park is a perfect family getaway with an abundance of outdoor fun to keep the kids entertained. Take advantage of the park's steep cliffs while learning the art of rappelling, or venture off into the adjacent wildlife management area, featuring 3,800 acres of forested hunting ground.

***NOTICE*** Winterization Update - Old Circle Campground will remain open but sites 31-41 will be electric only and the restroom will be winterized from 11/1/20 - 3/1/21. Restrooms behind the pool and on the west end of the Nature Center will remain closed for construction. Group Camp 2 is open year round, but group Camp 1 will be closed for renovation. 

Robbers Cave State Park

Robbers Cave State Park features 26 cabins, while Belle Starr View Lodge offers 20 rooms and a great room for gatherings. Located in the Sans Bois Mountains, the lodge offers scenic views of hilly woodlands and Coon Creek Lake. Enjoy breathtaking views and the crystal clear waters of Lake Carlton, Coon Creek Lake and Wayne Wallace Reservoir. All rooms are non-smoking and have a coffeemaker, microwave, mini-refrigerator and satellite television. All 20 rooms feature two double beds and can accommodate four guests. Pets are not permitted in lodge rooms.

Robbers Cave State Park features a nature center, gift shop, equestrian trails and campgrounds, canoe and paddleboat rentals, miniature golf, a swim beach, swimming pool, campgrounds, hiking trails and more. Please note that the swimming pool is open daily Memorial Day through Labor Day.  In addition, paddleboat/canoe rentals and miniature golf are lease concessions that are open seasonally. Hours of operation for the pool and the lease concessions will vary starting in August, due to the start of the school season.
