Mayall Mills State Historic Site Description

The Mayall Mills State Historic Site in Gray is part of the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands’ Pineland Public Reserved Lands and is available to the public for recreational use. There are no staff members on site. The site features the first water-powered woolen mill in North America. It is a great place to fish the clear, well-stocked waters of Collyer Brook in Gray or enjoy a scenic lunch at the picnic area. Just upstream (corner of Mayall & Route 100) is another public lot that provides bank access for fishing.
