Juneau Channel Islands State Marine Park consists of 14 islands in Lynn canal, is approximately 25 miles Northwest of downtown Juneau. The area is easily accessed by small boat from the Amalga Harbor boat launch, Auke Bay, or Juneau and is a popular area for wildlife viewing, photography, waterfowl and big game hunting, sport fishing, boating, kayaking, and camping. Access by float plane is also readily available. North Pass is a favorite fishing location for salmon and halibut and a popular whale viewing location.
