Conestoga is a 230-acre reservoir surrounded by 486 acres of land. The area offers boating, picnicking, hiking and biking trails, camping and fishing. Located just two miles north of Denton in rural Lancaster County, Conestoga is a popular getaway for visitors from Lincoln and the surrounding area. A Nebraska Game and Parks Commission Aquatic Habitat Program and Angler Access Program project was completed at Conestoga State Recreation Area in 2018.
