Cochituate State Park's main feature is Lake Cochituate, which is made up of three linked ponds.

Elm Bank Reservation

With over 800 acres of park land, Callahan is primarily used for hiking, horseback riding and walking. Callahan offers acres of open fields and ponds, along with 7 miles of marked trails and a dog park.

This 18-hole golf course is one of two state-operated courses. Reserve a tee time and enjoy a relaxing day on the green.


Leo J. Martin Memorial Golf Course

The Leo J. Martin Ski Track operating season commences in early-mid December and ends in mid-late March (weather permitting).

Ashland State Park has 470 acres including a 157 acre reservoir. The park operates seasonally and offers hiking, biking, boating, swimming, and fishing.


Ashland State Park

The Sudbury and Foss Reservoirs are the emergency water supply for the DCR/ Massachusetts Water Resources Authority water supply system. The main sources of water are the Quabbin Reservoir, Wachusett Reservoir, and Ware River. The 8 billion gallon reservoirs covers 1,500 acres. Recreational activities are regulated and limited to protect 3 million people’s drinking water.
