Woodmont NRMA Description

Formerly the Woodmont Rod & Gun Club property, the 3,425-acre Woodmont Natural Resource Management Area near Hancock offers opportunities for hiking, hunting, mountain biking, bird watching, and horseback riding. 2,000 acres are open year round and an additional 1,400 acres are open seasonally. The 18,745 sq. ft. Woodmont Lodge offers a panoramic view of West Virginia and the Potomac River. Six U.S. Presidents, various senators and congressmen, Babe Ruth, Gene Tunney, Amos & Andy, and Richard Mellon are among the many famous and influential guests of Woodmont Lodge. Several of the
