Robbers Cave State Park features 26 cabins, while Belle Starr View Lodge offers 20 rooms and a great room for gatherings. Located in the Sans Bois Mountains, the lodge offers scenic views of hilly woodlands and Coon Creek Lake. Enjoy breathtaking views and the crystal clear waters of Lake Carlton, Coon Creek Lake and Wayne Wallace Reservoir. All rooms are non-smoking and have a coffeemaker, microwave, mini-refrigerator and satellite television. All 20 rooms feature two double beds and can accommodate four guests. Pets are not permitted in lodge rooms.

Robbers Cave State Park features a nature center, gift shop, equestrian trails and campgrounds, canoe and paddleboat rentals, miniature golf, a swim beach, swimming pool, campgrounds, hiking trails and more. Please note that the swimming pool is open daily Memorial Day through Labor Day.  In addition, paddleboat/canoe rentals and miniature golf are lease concessions that are open seasonally. Hours of operation for the pool and the lease concessions will vary starting in August, due to the start of the school season.


Belle Starr View Lodge at Robbers Cave State Park

In the scenic, hilly woodlands of the Sans Bois Mountains of southeast Oklahoma, Robbers Cave State Park is a favorite of rappellers, equestrians, hikers and outdoor lovers. It is named for the famous outlaw cave hidden in the formation of 300 to 1,50-ft sandstone hills and cliffs. The park and adjoining wildlife management area offer acres of discovery and enjoyment including seasonal trout fishing and hunting, miles of hiking and equestrian trails, rugged cliffs for climbing and stunning fall foliage viewing.

Once a former hideout for outlaws Jesse James and Belle Starr, Robbers Cave State Park is an 8,246-acre park with 189 combined lake acres with Lake Carlton, Lake Wayne Wallace and Coon Creek. All lakes in the park are day-use only, with a trolling speed of 6 mph maximum. 

Campground facilities at Robbers Cave State Park include RV sites with full hookups; RV sites with water and electric hookups, and primitive camping areas along secluded trails. Equestrian campsites are also available. Online reservations must be made for all tent and RV sites.

Other overnight accommodations include a lodge, cabins, a lake hut, yurts and two group camp facilities. Each of the 20 rooms at the Belle Starr View Lodge commands an impressive view of Coon Creek Lake and the forested valley below. All rooms are non-smoking and feature two double beds, a coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge and satellite television. Rooms at the lodge can accommodate up to four guests. Pets are not permitted in lodge rooms.

A total of 26 non-smoking cabins are available with scenic views of Robbers Cave State Park. Each cabin comes fully equipped with cookware in the kitchen, central heat and air, fireplace, shower and satellite television. Pet-friendly cabins are available with a daily pet fee and must be requested at reservation.

Choose from one-bedroom duplex cabins that sleep four guests, one-bedroom cabins that also sleep four guests, two-bedroom cabins that sleep six guests and two-bedroom cabins with decks that sleep up to six guests. If you're looking for something romantic, "honeymoon" cabins are also available. Near the main park entrance, the lake hut comes equipped with a queen-sized bed and a sleeper sofa. It also has a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a table with four chairs. There is no television or shower facility, but the lake hut does have a toilet and sink. It is pet-friendly.

Yurt guests enjoy a queen bed and sofa sleeper within the circular structure. Amenities include a mini-fridge, microwave, heat and air window unit, ceiling fan and a deck overlooking Lake Carlton. One yurt is handicap accessible, and the nearest restroom/shower is a couple of hundred yards away.

With accommodations for up to 274 people, Group Camp 1 features 12 cabins, while Group Camp 2 features seven bunkhouses that can accommodate 250 people. Group Camp 1 is open seasonally from March through November and Group Camp 2 is open year-round.

Bring your own ATV or side-by-side and explore Robbers Cave State Park’s 250-acre ATV riding area, which is open from 8am until sunset each day. The park also has an amphitheater, five group picnic shelters and two indoor community rooms. With picnic tables, comfort stations with showers, boat ramps, a swimming beach, a seasonal swimming pool with bathhouse, playgrounds, it's easy to have a good time at the park.  From miniature golf, paddleboat rentals and golf cart rentals, to a small grocery store and a nature center with naturalist programs and exhibits, the park has something for everyone.

Robbers Cave State Park is a perfect family getaway with an abundance of outdoor fun to keep the kids entertained. Take advantage of the park's steep cliffs while learning the art of rappelling, or venture off into the adjacent wildlife management area, featuring 3,800 acres of forested hunting ground.

***NOTICE*** Winterization Update - Old Circle Campground will remain open but sites 31-41 will be electric only and the restroom will be winterized from 11/1/20 - 3/1/21. Restrooms behind the pool and on the west end of the Nature Center will remain closed for construction. Group Camp 2 is open year round, but group Camp 1 will be closed for renovation. 

Robbers Cave State Park

At Arrowhead Golf Course, play 18-holes on a par 72 course with bent grass greens, Bermuda grass tees and fairways. Golfers can enjoy lake views, minimal water hazards and well-placed sand bunkers while hitting the greens at this golf course in Canadian. While onsite, guests can also take advantage of a putting green, driving range and pro shop with cart and club rentals, snacks and drinks. To improve your swing, attend a driving range golf clinic, or arrange private or group lessons.

Overlooking beautiful Lake Eufaula on a hill, the views from the Arrowhead Golf Course are magnificent. While playing a few holes at Arrowhead, be sure and say "Howdy" to the course's loveable mascot, Holly. This friendly pooch not only helps keep the geese off the course, but she also hops in the cart and rides along with many of regulars. Camp or park your RV at the nearby Arrowhead Area at Lake Eufaula State Park, and get ready for a golfing adventure in Oklahoma. 

Arrowhead State Park Golf Course

The Arrowhead Area at Lake Eufaula State Park features 2,200 scenic acres near Canadian in southeastern Oklahoma.

Lake Eufaula, the largest man-made lake in Oklahoma, borders most of the Arrowhead Area and is accessible by boat from a ramp located near the marina. Enjoy water sports of all kinds on the lake, from water skiing to wakeboarding. The park marina offers a restaurant, fuel, tackle, bait, indoor fishing and a nearby swimming area. Fishing is a popular activity at Lake Eufaula, and the catch of the day may include catfish, crappie and sand bass.

Choose from two hiking trails at Arrowhead Area: the Outlaw Nature Trail, a three-quarter mile trail that runs through hilly terrain, and the Arrowhead Hiking Trail, a hilly three mile trail that is recommended for advanced hikers only. This trail links campgrounds No. 1 and 2 and runs just south of the park office. On the trails, visitors may get a close-up view of some of the animals that live in the park, such as deer, wild turkeys and rabbits.

The Arrowhead Golf Course features a pro shop, driving range, putting green, cart and club rentals. This full-service 72-par course provides a spectacular view of the lake from two holes on the course. Visitors to this 18-hole course will find bent grass greens, Bermuda grass tees and fairways, minimal water hazards and well-placed sand bunkers.

Arrowhead Area offers online reservable RV sites, some of which have full hookups. Tent sites may be reserved online as well.  A dump station is also located onsite. The equestrian camp offers hitching posts, water and electric hookups and can be reserved online. There are many conveniently-located comfort stations in the park, and the park offers picnic pavilions and a playground. A group camp is available, and features a kitchen and bunkhouses that accommodate up to 144 people. Arrowhead Area also features an airstrip for those who would like to fly into the park.

Arrowhead Area at Lake Eufaula State Park

Talimena State Park marks the Oklahoma entrance to the Talimena National Scenic Drive, a winding paved road through the Winding Stair Mountains that is known for spectacular spring and fall foliage. Hiking and backpacking trails throughout the Ouachita National Forest begin at Talimena State Park and offer a wide range of scenic, wooded terrain. Dirt bikes and ATVs are permitted in the park as an entrance point to the national forest lands.

Talimena State Park offers 10 RV sites with 30 amp electricity and water hookups, seven designated tent campsites with pads and many other available areas suitable for tents. Online reservations must be made for RV and tent sites.  Picnic facilities include a pavilion with water and electric, extra-large grills and six tables. There are also fire rings, a playground, hiking trails and a comfort station with showers available within the park. A small gift shop is located on-site. 

Talimena State Park

Clayton Lake State Park, located in southeastern Oklahoma's Kiamichi Mountains, features 500 acres of lodging, fishing, boating, hiking and more. Wind your way through the hardwood forest's beautiful scenery and find what adventure and activities await you in this state park.

Lodging at the park, located just five miles south of Clayton, includes 30 reservable RV sites, 60 first come, first serve tent sites spread out between three camping areas, primitive cabins and two-bedroom cabins to fit your family's needs. Bring your dog along to stay in a spacious two-bedroom cabin that requires no additional pet fee. Clayton Lake State Park also offers five picnic pavilions, two boat ramps and four comfort stations with hot showers.

If you're looking for a restful getaway, look no further. The 80-acre lake is open to fishermen and boaters, but no watersports are allowed. In addition to a lighted boat and ADA accessible fishing dock, the park also has a swimming beach and playground. 

Take a stroll along the water's edge, wade through the rushing waterfalls, or bring a kayak to cross the lake's still water. With a wide variety of trees lining the water's edge, the beautiful foliage offers outdoor enthusiasts the chance to reconnect with nature along the park's hiking trails.

Nearby, guests can visit the Ouachita National Forest, Sardis Lake or the Choctaw National Capital Museum.

Clayton Lake State Park

Lake Eufaula State Park is a great choice for an Oklahoma getaway. Whether the stay is short or long-term, a visit to this area will be memorable. Formerly known as Fountainhead State Park, the park is located just south of I-40 near Checotah. Situated on Lake Eufaula, a 102,000 acre reservoir, visitors can enjoy many activities on land and water.

Observe Oklahoma's diverse foliage and wildlife on hiking trails like Bluebird Trail. Visitors can bike around the expansive park's mountain bike trails. Saddle up for a guided horseback ride at on-site Lake Eufaula Stables, or bring your own horse to explore the trails. Learn about native animals and plant species at the Deep Fork Nature Center, where kids and adults can participate in naturalist programs and activities. The park also offers many playgrounds and a fishing pond.

Enjoy a 18-hole disc golf course at Hummingbird Beach and there is no fee required to play the disc golf course. Stop by the gift shop in the park office to rent disc golf equipment. Nearby, the 18-hole Fountainhead Creek Golf Course features views of the lake, complete with a putting green and pro shop. Add a personal and lasting touch to the park's Lovelock Fountain.

While land activities are abundant, Lake Eufaula boasts plenty of water. Enjoy a swimming area with a beach and multiple boat ramps for easy lake access. Fishing is a big attraction, and a marina makes year-round fishing possible with an enclosed, heated dock and tackle shop. Some of the largest fish in the state have been caught at Lake Eufaula.

Look into Lake Eufaula's various accommodations for an overnight stay. Choose an RV or tent site and make an easy online reservation for your camping destination. For a unique overnight accommodation, book a stay in one of the park’s three yurts, which come with heat/ac, bedding, a microwave, mini fridge, electrical outlets and an LED TV.

The Longhorn Loop yurt includes a foldout futon, large picnic shelter and doorstep lake access, while the ADA compliant Hummingbird Beach yurt comes with two full-sized futon bunk beds with nearby beach access. The Longhorn Loop Honeymoon yurt has a queen-sized log canopy bed indoors and two picnic tables, a grill, a fire pit and a lantern holder outdoors. Although there is no running water in the yurts, restroom facilities are located within 50 yards of the Longhorn Loop and Hummingbird Beach yurts, and 1000 yards from the Longhorn Loop Honeymoon yurt. Pets are not allowed inside yurts.

Comfort stations are scattered throughout the park. Ideal for meetings or family reunions, the group camp features a fully-equipped kitchen, dining hall, stocked pond and four air-conditioned bunkhouses that accommodate up to 96 people. Lake Eufaula State Park also features an airstrip for those who would like to fly into the park. In addition, there are coin operated washers and dryers located in the Dogwood Drive Campground.

***NOTICE*** Winterization update. Bathrooms at Longhorn Loop and Hummingbird Beach will be available for yurt guests only from 11/120 - 3/1/21. One of the three Deep Fork Campground restroom will be closed and winterized 11/1/20 - 3/1/21. Bathroom at Blackjack Bluff will be winterized from 11/1/20 - 3/1/21. Modern RV sites and restrooms at Dogwwod Drive will remain open.
